The Engine Control Unit (ECU) has forced the engine to low speed to protect the system due to an out-of-range operating condition.

Possible causes

Slight engine coolant overheating
Low oil pressure detected by the ECU
Partial restriction in the fuel system
Communication error on the CAN data bus

Recommended actions

Check engine oil and coolant levels
Inspect radiator and condenser for obstructions
Check the condition of the fuel filters
Clear codes and monitor if the speed limitation persists
